156 Fifth Grade Awards Middle School Presents
ESTHERVILLE — A total of 156 awards were presented to students in the fifth grade at the Estherville Middle School including eight citizen of the year awards.
Jay Jurrens was named citizen of the year in the home room of Mrs. Anderson. He was also the winner of a honor roll award. Diane Nelson was named citizen of the year in the home room of Mrs. Berghefer. She also received a music award and a honor roll award.
Connie Frederick was named citizen of the year in the home room of Mrs. Heidecker. She was also awarded a music award, honor roll award, and a perfect attendance award. In the home room of Mrs. Johnson, Julie Lammers was named citizen of the year. She also received a music award, student council award, and honor roll award.
THE WINNER OF the citizen of the year award in the home room of Mr. Johnson went to Jann Thompson. She also received a music award and a honor roll award. In the homeroom of Mr. Limberg, Chris Cooklin was named citizen of the year. Cooklin also received a honor roll award.
Rick Johnson was named citizen of the year in the home room of Mr. Morphew. He also received a music award, student council award and honor roll award. In the home room of Mrs. Ohrtman, Gary Kurth was named citizen of the year. He also received a student council award and safety patrol award.
