Academic Awards Program for 2000 - 2001

The night of April 24 held special meaning for the families and friends of students who were inducted into the highest secondary school academic organizations. The special candle lighting ceremony honored 40 students being inducted into the National Honor Society and 38 students being inducted into the Beta Club. Dr. Ray Wilson, Superintendent of Ware Shoals School District 51 was the guest speaker and he presented a challenging and motivational speech that encouraged these students to continue to do their very best in school. A light reception followed the ceremony and was enjoyed by the approximately 150 parents, family and friends in attendance.
