TEXAS - West Orange - West Orange-Stark High School Choir Honors - October 2008

Nineteen West Orange-Stark High School choir members have been named to the All Region Choir.

The West Orange-Stark students earning the honor Oct. 11 are:

Eritrea Griffith, Chase Champine, Rashondria Sibley, Enrique Warnell, Kia Hartfield, Jason Sinclair, Asiane Venkatesan, Dorian Hardin-Hebert, Lindsey Blanchard, Quentyn Mitchell, Megan Phares, Laramie Phillips, LaTisha Spikes, Justin Sparrow, Horace Broussard, Randy Wuske, Tevin Henson, Ryan Fusilier and Taylor Turley.

Six of the students will advance to the Pre-Area audition scheduled to be held Dec. 4.

They are: Kia Hartfield, Asiane Venkatesan, Horace Broussard, Tevin Henson, Dorian Hardin-Hebert, and Justin Sparrow.

Any student qualifying at this level will continue to audition in the hopes of becoming a member of the Texas Music Educators Association All State Choir.

Additionally, the 19 West Orange-Stark All-Region qualifiers will perform in the area’s All-Region Concert which will be held at the Julie Rogers Theater in Beaumont on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.

The West Orange-Stark choir is under the direction of Ruth Houston.

She is assisted by Angela Greer. Brenda Lee is the West Orange-Stark High School Choir accompanist.
