Oswego Students At B. Ramer Tech Honored For "Outstanding Effort"

Students at B. Ramer Tech in Mexico were honored for their outstanding effort in their vocational/technical education classes for the second quarter of the school year during assemblies held at the Oswego County BOCES’ campus.

“While we applaud the students who are maintaining high academic averages, we also want to recognize those students who may not be at the top of their class grade-wise, but who are putting forth their best efforts at all times,” explained B. Ramer Tech Principal Andrew Rudd. “In that light, our teachers created a program where we would recognize on a quarterly basis those students who had perfect attendance, maintained an academic average of 90% or higher or who showed outstanding effort.”

The following students from the Oswego School District were recognized during the second marking quarter for Outstanding Effort:

Tiffany Burdick-Horizons to Health Careers;
Mallory Cooper-Business Information Technology;
Mark Gentile-Advanced Auto Systems;
Kristy Ketter-Advanced Cosmetology;
Matt Talamo-Auto Systems;
Courtney Thompson-Advanced Cosmetology;
David Thomson-Cabinet Making; and
Paul Vandish-Commercial Art & Graphic Design.

Receiving awards for perfect attendance were:

Tiffany Burdick-Horizons to Health Careers;
Matt Talamo-Auto Systems; and
Ashley White-Nurse Assistant.

Cited for achieving an average of 90 or higher were:

Matt Balcom-Rough Carpentry;
Tiffany Burdick-Horizons to Health Careers;

Kristen Ford-Early Childhood Education I;
