On Thursday May 29, 2003 Chandlers Elementary School held its annual 8th grade graduation ceremony.

The wonderful invocation was led by Vicki Watson.

During the ceremony many awards were given to the 2003 graduates as the following:

Math - Rebecca Grayson; Technology - Sarah Hines; Language Arts - Myra Price; Science - Rebecca Grayson;

Social Studies - Myra Price; Athletic - Travis Hooper and Rebecca Grayson; Band- Elizabeth Stratton; Academic - Zach Knuckles;

Citizenship - Kyle Williamson and Myra Price; Art -Alexis Bishop; Music - Elizabeth Stratton; Attendance - Myra Price and Anna Marshall; Accelerated Reader -Elizabeth Stratton, Myra Price, and Zach Knuckles;

Honor Students - Jesse Steenbergen, Myra Price, Rebecca Grayson, Amber Miles, Ashley Forgy, Elizabeth Stratton.

Salutatorian - Elizabeth Stratton; Valedictorian -Rebecca Grayson.

Board Chairman Billy Hall and Assistant Principal Bob Birdwhistell presented the diplomas to all the proud 8th graders.

After all the diplomas were handed out, Principal Barry Silvey presented the Aviles, Bush, and Webb Scholarship to Pamela Manning for $300.

Next in the ceremony Paula Scarbrough had put together a Power Point presentation on the Chandlers Elementary School Class of 2003. The Power Point Presentation included some baby pictures and recent pictures of the 8th Graders.

The ceremony ended with the benediction by Billy Baldwin.
